Lisl H. Detlefsen writes while she watches wildlife wander past her office window. She is the author of the 2017 Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom Book of the Year, Time for Cranberries, illustrated by Jed Henry, and If You Had a Jetpack, illustrated by Linzie Hunter. Lisl lives on a cranberry marsh near Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, with her husband and two sons, and her favorite part of the year is when it's time for harvest. Renée Kurilla was an award-winning lead artist at FableVision Studios before becoming a full-time children’s book creator. Books she’s illustrated include Orangutanka: A Story in Poems by Margarita Engle, The Pickwicks' Picnic by Carol Brendler, and the Ada Lace series by Emily Calandrelli. Renée loves drawing nature, animals, and working on projects that require a little bit of research! She lives near Boston, Massachusetts, with her illustrator husband and their daughter, Zoey.
