A New Picture Book About Potatoes...and Pirates

Ever wonder how potatoes grow, are planted, and how potatoes are harvested? Pirate Pearl does! We are so thrilled to announce a new picture book about potatoes from Feeding Minds Press: Potatoes for Pirate Pearl.

This debut picture book by Jennifer Concepcion will be illustrated by Chloe Burgett and edited by Emma D. Dryden. PEARL features a pirate who's sick of hardtack biscuits and ends up on Farmer Fay's potato farm accompanied by her parrot, Petunia, Pirate Pearl learns how potatoes are planted, grown, and harvested - and discovers they're the perfect provision for her next voyage. PEARL should publish in winter of 2023.
